Kathleen Krause is an accomplished Geologist and Geophysicist with a robust background in subsurface evaluation and imaging. Currently at Krause Subsurface Consulting LLC, she specializes in regional evaluations and play-based analyses, particularly in the Pelotas Basin of Brazil. Her work includes advanced techniques such as well-to-seismic ties, AVO analysis, and 2D seismic velocity modeling, along with interpreting complex geological structures in the Red Sea and Nile Delta.

Previously, Kathleen spent several years at Schlumberger WesternGeco, where she built structural and stratigraphic frameworks in sedimentary basins and supervised exploration initiatives focused on deep-water environments and salt body characterization. Her experience includes significant fieldwork in the Permian Basin and the development of high-value reservoir models in Kuwait Bay.

Kathleen is known for her ability to conceptualize workflows that maximize client value using cutting-edge technologies like Full Waveform Inversion (FWI). She has successfully mentored teams across multiple regions, enhancing collaboration and project efficiency. Holding a Master’s degree in Geology from the University of Houston and a Bachelor’s from Oklahoma State University, she combines technical proficiency with a commitment to advancing geoscience methodologies through the application of innovative technologies.
